UCSB Professor Jonathan Klamkin’s company, Aeluma, joined the Midwest Microelectronics Consortium to advance its semiconductor photonics technologies for AI, quantum, and defense applications.

Vine Medical, a UCSB CSNI member founded by recent UCSB Ph.D. graduate Dr. David Haggerty, is developing a soft robotic “vine” device that makes emergency intubation faster, safer, and more reliable than traditional laryngoscopes.
