The Hurd Co will be featured at the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen next week as one of eight "Trailblazers." As a featured Trailblazer, The Hurd Co will be showcasing agrilose at the "Trailblazer Programme" exhibition stand.

The Trailblazer Programme is an initiative by Global Fashion Agenda and PDS Ventures to identify fashion’s most promising early-stage innovators. The program is dedicated to driving positive changes in the fashion and textile industry through sustainable solutions that benefit the planet.

Cadense's adaptive shoes featured on QVC

UCSB spinout Cadense, founded by Dr. Tyler Susko, has launched its first product line. Cadense’s adaptive shoe features a patented variable friction technology that allows those with walking disabilities to more easily slide over obstacles and develop a more normal gait.

Initial prototyping for the shoe was funded in part through a CNSI SEED-Tech proof of concept grant.

Sivers receives $375,000 award under DARPA NGMM program in collaboration with PseudolithIC

Chip and integrated module supplier Sivers Semiconductors AB of Kista, Sweden says that its US subsidiary Sivers Semiconductors Inc has received an award worth $375,000 (about 4MSEK) under the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Next-Generation Microelectronics Manufacturing (NGMM) program in collaboration with PseudolithIC Inc of Santa Barbara, CA, USA. The program aims to develop three-dimensional heterogeneously integrated (3DHI) technologies.
